So Prince has a new album out, 2OTEN… for free… this Saturday… in the UK’s Daily Mirror. Of course, thanks to the wonders of the internet and those crafty, thieving Brits, it will make it’s way ‘across the pond’ (ugh) eventually, despite the royal member’s notorious hatred of this crazy new internet thing. From the Mirror interview:
“The internet’s completely over. I don’t see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. They won’t pay me an advance for it and then they get angry when they can’t get it.
“The internet’s like MTV. At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated. Anyway, all these computers and digital gadgets are no good.
“They just fill your head with numbers and that can’t be good for you.”
Uh huh… Well, it gets odder from there. Lots of god, not so much classic dirty lyrics. In fact, he sounds oddly like MJ in that doc by Martin Bashir.
